That looks really promising. I wonder if he'd do the correct nut width for the Thunderbird. If so, I may have to get one of these...

I find that fanned concept interesting and it goes visually much better with a TBird than an anodyne Fenderesque body. Where did you get it from?

Giving every string the optimal scale appeals to me in theory. D and G just sound better in short scale, E and A better in long or longer.

I think a used one just went for about $850 on Ebay.  My fanfret project bass cost me about $1100 to have done.  It may look like a Fender, but the body is mahogany, so it has more of a Tbird/EB-3 kind of tonal range.
