Yeah, they say they are inverse wound, whatever than means.

From their site:  As in the Silencer Acoustic String, this new Silencer breaks the barriers of electric bass string technology. The process of Inverse String Winding compresses the outermost part of the cover wrap leaving the internal structure of the string intact. Exclusive to S.I.T., this design produces a silky feel which is easier on your fingers and frets, but explodes with a round wound sound!

For a marketing blurb, that's actually a pretty accurate description. Not quite as brilliant as a typical nickel round, but pretty close.

The compressure wound Rotosounds have the yuckiest feel on earth and a real nasty rough bark to them. Not recommended with bright or clear sounding basses.

Agreed. They sound dreadful on my RD. I liken Carvin strings for it
