I couldn't get sufficient info on the topic to make sure it was 100% accurate.  I am still in the process of trying to revise this.

If interested, please refer to this book which can serve to replace the video I posted which I can't authenticate.  Although I haven't read the book, certainly it does appear to be valid.

This forum has an unofficial tradition of topics about World War II which have been posted from time to time.  I think that's mostly because a few of the members are actually experts on World War II.  I'm not one of those experts.  In fact, my main area of interest has always been the American Civil War.  But I decided to post about this particular World War II story because for several reasons I felt it had some significance.

Bangka Island Massacre:  Story of a survivor.

I can add to the WWII stuff in that I've spent some time for work on Saipan.  So much WWII history there.  And then the atomic bomb loading pits next door on Tinian.

Sorry if I've mentioned this stuff already. My memory sucks.
