Looking to make contact with any surviving AUB-1 players West Coast USA 1966-1970. Did anyone here play any gigs or do any backing recordings in SF or up Mendocino way in that era wuth sn AUB-1 ... or know of anyone who did.

Rand Forbes of The United States of America used a fretless AUB-1 on their self titled (and only) album. Not sure if Rand is still alive and in any way traceable.

Yeah, I listened to his stuff, but he's radically different to the style of fretless player I'm hunting.

Listen here to the 1968-1969 bassist I'm trying to identify. Bruce Johnson said it's an AUB-1 for sure.
