Creepy. It's been a popular horror film trope ever since Misery, but imagining it in real life ... Of course, killing the mother was a mix of self justice and overreaching self defense, but I do wonder whether 10 years for her and life for her then boy friend (abetted by her) were the only judicial possibilities to deal with this.

The irony is that the eight years of prison time for her were probably the first time in her life when she was not abused and actually treated like a human being.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...
