I think Kim Carnes did a perfect job on "Bette Davis Eyes."  Here she is singing "Under My Thumb."  I wish the quality of this clip could be a little better, but I guess this is all there is.  I also wish Kim Carnes could have received more attention through the years.  Nevertheless, her version of "Bette Davis Eyes," as has already been mentioned, will remain unmatched.

I didn't really follow any of them, but my favorite was Green Lantern.  We just had a local comic shop close, and I want down there and picked up a number of the Green Lantern comics, as well as issues of The Shadow and Doctor Strange.

Green Lantern is another DC one which has probably never received quite enough attention.

Bette Davis Eyes may remain unmatched, but Bruce (Babyman) Baum takes the prize.

That Green Lantern movie with Ryan Reynolds that everyone hated? I actually thought that wasn't so bad.

Maybe I just like Reynolds as an actor, whether he's Deadpool or The Green Lantern.

I agree!  Even the best movies like that are nothing more than imagination and fantasy.  Reynolds is hard not to like, and I enjoy his work. The movie was a bit odd, but I frankly enjoyed seeing that character brought to film.  I enjoyed it and have seen it more than once.

Given the lasting marriage with his cracker of a wife Blake Lively, his memories of that movie can't be all bad. Miss a blockbuster, find a wife!

Flash thought: Is moving from Gwyneth to Blake a general improvement or are we just a patriarchal forum obsessed with blondes? I'm worried about how it all might look to someone unaware of our scientific acumen so prevalent in other threads.

We could always innocuously shift the subject to marine life in a non-exploitative way, no?

For a movie somewhat inherently constrained by its subject matter of "Bikini/rubber girl + hungry shark + one dead whale", that film did manage to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Green Lantern is the type of superhero movie I tend to like, but I guess the public disagrees.  Most seem to prefer movies such as Avengers: Endgame.  The main reason I even know about most of this is from being around friends who seem to want to watch movies I'm sometimes not very interested in.  I read that Ryan Reynolds didn't like Green Lantern.  He didn't want to promote it or do a sequel.

I was going to say something about "The Shallows" but I was too late.  More interesting than most superhero movies, IMO.

I really didn't feel as part of the jade egg target group, but this wolverine claw looks like good fun for more conventional uses. You probably wouldn't want to retract it though.
