We're holding elections tomorrow, she's no longer running for office, end of an era. One thing I always did like about her was how unassuming and approachable she was. Never a visionary, she just got on with the job. She ran Germany like a well-meaning principal runs a high school. She considered any form of male or female vanity to be intellectually beneath her and frankly puzzling. A scientist she was.
