New Board?

I've been noticing a lot lately, some folks are shoehorning their guitar questions and announcements into the bass sections.  Perhaps a, "All Things Six Strings," board would help.  I just mean, in the end we're all artists first, and bassists second, so sometimes there's something guitard related that needs to be asked or stated.

Just an idea.

The thought has crossed my mind. OTOH when you get too many different boards it just gets confusing, especially when there's overlap with a brand board.

I think this is a Bass Forum, with all things vaguely bass related. For guitar related topics there a zillion other fora...
Just my two cents. ;)

Or, only allow guitar posts relating to the E,A,D&G strings ;D

Right. We're a bass forum. Fine to talk about your guitar, ukulele or whatever. We don't want to be a guitarist destination.

So... a reeds and brass forum is probably out of the question then?  I was thinking you could call it "brass in pocket"  8)

We could have discussions about WWI war tubas and the like  ;D

+1 on no guitars, though I asked a question or two myself about guitars, knowing the knowledge would be here.

But let's try to keep it to a minimum?

As long as the forum is called "Lesser Basses ...!".

Seriously, I don't have an issue with a separate guitar forum, quite a few people here own one, me included (an Ibanez acoustic 12 string). I don't see us flooded with "only" guitarists because of such a feature and even if ... it won't crash us into an indentity crisis, will it? No reason to get all protective!

I agree with Uwe.  I don't mind if we have a guitards subforum.  It's all in the family.
