Here:o

The comment below the post says it's from Turkey.

Pull a "prank" like that here and you'd better make sure in advance that your will and life insurance are in order.

I like how being told that it's a hidden camera prank makes the dude madder and starts another round of puncheing.  :-\

He didn't get ze jöke, no?

In Germany, round 2 would have had him incarcerated for assault.

Good thing Turkey is more of a free country than that.

Liberal gun laws are still the best insurance against stuff like that ...

I don't understand what was supposed to be "funny" in the first place. Destruction or vandalism of property isn't funny. The vandal (prank or not) didn't get any more than he deserved.

No kidding - there is NOTHING funny about this at all. I wonder about the ethics of those who planned it.

You're right. Even Allen Funt would never have dreamed of doing something like this.

Oh come on, by the time he noticed that camera any sane person should have thought "at the very least they'll wash my car and invite me for a nice dinner and a TV show with my wife and kids, so I better behave now". Or do any of you guys believe they painted his car with color that would have stuck and would not have compensated him for his grievance? I think it's a fundamental ability of an adult to stop whatever you're doing when you notice that you have misperceived the situation.

Does it matter? If somebody threw a bucket of paint on your most prized basses, would it really make any difference to you if that person told you it could be cleaned off?

Here, the "prankster" would have been criminally charged. It's highly unlikely that the owner would have been charged for punching him out, but even if he had been, no Texas grand jury would return a true bill against him.

In Australia as long as it WAS a prank and the alleged paint washed of, most ppl would laugh it off once they were aware of the so called joke.

The driver was enjoying himself way too long after he was told.   What a violent idiot.

An F in anger management class I think. And if even Crocodile Dundees don't pull a knife on this ...  :)

There was a judgement in the fifties in Germany which stated that you were allowed to shot someone in self defense of your property even if all you saw was him walking away with a 30 cent soft drink bottle. I don't think that is acceptable anymore today, nor should it be.

Plus the prankster wasn't fighting back one bit - that has to go into the equation too.

And to answer the question: If this had been one of my basses I would have been dumbfounded and asked what the hell he was thinking, also kept him physically from doing it to my other basses, but certainly stopped dead in my tracks after having been confronted with the prank aspect of it.
