I suppose lesson is learned then regarding what not to do on social media in a video format. He says a lot of good things so yet again, the infamous Play Authentic-video was very unfortunate for Gibson. OTOH if they keep up the good spirit the public anger will slowly but surely sink.

"pre-bankruptcy" has now become a standing term?

Nothing sounds like a pre-bankruptcy Gibson :)

Some day, there will be separate forums dedicated to Henry-era Gibsons.

Ah yes, ole flicker & roll-eyes ...

Lovely quote: "There is a reason they can apply this draconian law regardless of who you are!" Yes,
quite, Henry, that is the point of most law ever since we have largely done away with kings, queens and
emperors.  ;D

I always wondered whether his folksy slowed-down speech was/is an act? It doesn't really reflect his origins (son to Polish immigrants, born in Latin America, upbringing in New York State, education in Harvard, professional career in Detroit) or is that how you begin to talk after more than 30 years of Nashville? You Yanks tell me.

High points for that Errol Flynn 'tache though. That was so out of time, it was good.

Not everything during his tenure was horrible. I think the very late 80ies and early 90ies - when Phil Jones was a major influence on Gibson bass and guitar design - will once be viewed as a golden era. It gave us the 20/20, the Les Paul Bass series, EB 650/750, the reissued TBird, in production to this day/for 33 years (!) - after both the original 60ies ones and the Bicentennials had failed quickly - etc.

Gotta agree with this. Lots of really great basses there. I think the Les Pauls are unsung heroes of the bass world, and still a mystery to so many people.

I also got my left-handed Thunderbird under Henry's era.  Very thankful for that.
