New Fender Ultra series

Announced today, minor "improvements" over the Elite series, with an increase in price. The prices shown are street prices.

Ultra P that's really yet another P/J. IMHO, far from what a Precision Bass ought to be.

Ultra J Will this compete in a market with quite a few active Js? I wonder.

Trying to "take a little" from the past and then falling in the swamp with the end product.

I think it's quite logical. In the Fender US-series you know got affordable vintage-style basses, modern style basses, expensive vintage style basses and expensive modern ones.
