So sorry to see this. Unfortunately he's just one of many. Bad enough to lose your home, he's out of business for now.

Message from Wayne Guitars

I'm not soliciting for his gofundme, just passing along the news.

I owned a very early Strat made by Mr. Charvel and it is, to this day, the most amazing Strat-type guitar I've ever played. He sure made some fine instruments and I wish him the best of luck and a fast recovery to normal state of affairs.

AFAIK he's not making basses since he started Wayne Guitars. OTOH everything up on his site is sold and from his son's message, he has customers waiting. It's just a small shop, I remember seeing a video of it a few years back. No CNC in sight.

Let's not forget his late 80s Gibson connection, including the Gibson/WRC prototypes owned by Uwe.

That's even worse than I thought.

If the reports are accurate, most of the town is in ruins.

People hear about California fires so much, but the devastation of this is hard for me to imagine.

I still think of Uwe's clown bass.

My sister in Santa Rosa lost everything in the last fire. Their vintage Volkswagen was vaporized to ash. Their Prius wheels melted to pools.

Good thing they were insured, but it's still devastating loosing everything you own.

$43,000 raised in 10 days. Good for their family but there are so many others in need.
