I had never heard of Phil X until a few years ago. Love his enthusiasm in his demo videos. It must have been fun to play on stage with him.

Saw him last year with Bon Jovi, he was on fire. I'd love to jam with him. The closest I came to that was... doing a cover of one of his band's songs, that I came across via his Fretted Americana videos.

Totally weird and nice. Warwick bought other basses so you can compare. The Music Hall has around 60 non Warwick basses, I think. Among them a Gibson LP Bass, a Tbird, a Rick 4003, a Höfner, five or six Xotics, around six Fodera's, a bunch of Fenders, a bunch of top line Ibanez', a James Trussart, some Marleaux', et cetera. Not talking about the wall of amps of other manufacturers. That is a lot of money just hanging on the wall or sitting in cases...

But most basses were hanging high, so I grabbed a standard JJ Streamer Bass, which was on stage. Nice bass. Warwick sure makes some nice basses nowadays, but this is not the topic to discuss that :)
