Nice (re)fin for a Bass IV ...

It looks nice in cherry and a IV will make a good fretless but absence of a serial no (even if you ignore moved input jack and J pup replacement plus what seems like an Epi trc) leads me to think that this is all after-market and therefore severely overpriced ...

No serial number, refin, too many mods, priced at twice what an unmodded one would go for.

"These basses are becoming incredibly rare"  They always were rare because they were major sales duds.

Which "professional" put the jack socket there?

Does look good in cherry, but then again I am biased given what I had done to my Ripper ;)

I hate input jacks on the face of a bass body - catastrophies waiting to happen.

I'm not as averse to them as that (right angle jack, cable tucked into the strap, no worries), but why this one so damn close to the knobs?  Looks weird and if you're not using a right angle jack plug, probably gets in the way too.

The red is pretty, it's a shame that wasn't offered as a color.  But if you're going to put all that time, effort and money into a project I cant understand why anyone would do that with the output jack and randomly throw in J-pickup in the existing route.

And it's priced about 1K too high! :P

That J-pickup looks plan nasty in there.
