RIP, sad to see.

He and Cosimo Matassa, who died last year, were two of the three key people behind the New Orleans sound of the 50s and 60s (IMHO). The third is Dave Bartholomew, who is now in his late 90s.

One of the news stories had a clip from a video of his last performance. He certainly was in fine form until the end.
