The start to building a Jazz made for ANY variation in taste as far as woods, pickups, neck, binding, etc is not much more demanding than a run through a parts catalog.

Well I did it Friday Night... traded a 1965 Bird and got a 1960/61 Jazz Bass.....'

Of course I went back the next day and got my T Bird back. Jazz was cool! I had the action SO LOW on it it was insane. But there was some question to the originality of the body (It was a refin) and it had been refretted with Gibson size frets......One big thing is that it did NOT have the output of a T bird through My 100 watt GK combo. I was VERY pleased to get my Thunderbird back.

Nice experience to really try a vintage jazz. I'll stick with my '78/'81 dot neck/binding maple neck Jazz with SD 1/4 pounders.....

No Way. Dude...this is a Tele bass...what's there to try???

Blackbird

I don't have access to try one for myself....thought you could give' er a go next time you were at cme.  I like them.

Bionic-Joe

Oh...Ok...Absolutley! I'll do that next time I go there. Those guys are REALLY cool there.

I've had some dialog about it, but it's pricey and I'd like an experienced player to give it a go!  I'm hooked on the reliced Fenders, but this looks that much cooler to me.

I'm sure it's nice...that Pino bass is nice but it had a strange fat neck...like a Tele almost...and they had a real Vintage 1965 P bass that had the exact same shape neck as the Pino bass...
