I think Uwe has one, I don't remember what he said about it?

He really liked it. Here's the thread where it first popped up http://bassoutpost.com/index.php?topic=3550.0, his review is on the last page.

Wow, the second one listed sold for 2k! Wasn't the street price on these new around 1500? I wish my basses would appreciate that much in over 4 years.  Maybe Gibson will re-issue the BFG next  ;D

For some reason $1700 sticks in my mind. Not sure, though.

Curse you all, I am warming to these.  Would have to do something about the lack of fret markers though.  I really don't like plain boards - looks unfinished to me.

Still do! Body is not larger than the LPs of yore but much thicker than even the thickest Standard, making the bass weigh a ton (but it also hangs well for the weight). The three pups make for variable sounds and can be combined endlessly (the toggle is a kill switch, the pups are operated via the three knobs, the fourth one being treble. Of course, skull knobs are a must.

The BFG look of the bass doesn't so much look unfinished as archaic, people that have no idea about basses and guitars, much less finishes, are always drawn to it ("oh, that one looks interesting, is that made of leather?"). You strap this baby around your shoulder and no one is gonna ask you whether you play rock as a bassist. The abundance of wood gives it a deep and mighty sound, you will be heard ...
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...
