Whatever it is (and I severely doubt it was built from Gibson parts except maybe the pups), I think the guy had another brand in mind ...

these 'worker' made one of, (prototype  :P ) storys seem to be becoming more common as of late. ??? i have a bass and a saw so i guess i'll make one as well. :mrgreen:

That is one of the ugliest basses I've seen in a long time.
Looks like the guy who drew the body shape has a severe case of Parkinson's disease...

Bingo! There was something familiar to it (and I always thought the B-301s and 2s owe a nod or two to the Ric design).

I meant it looks like it started out as a B-302, not that it looks like one now. Compare the outline of an unmodified B-302 (or 301) to this. With that headstock and rough body outline, I can't think of anything else it could be.

It's not custom made. A person capable of making a set neck joint and a symmetrical headstock wouldn't make a body like that.

I'm thinking that someone with a drug-induced psychosis was allowed near a bandsaw and belt sander.
