It took me two full days to assemble my daughter's Ikea bunk bed. When we moved in 2002, I partially took it apart. It's been in our attic that way for 6 years. Hell if I can remember how to put it back together.

Never had a problem with Ikea instructions but that made me laugh really hard.

After twenty five years of reading detailed written instructions in tech documentation I find the Ikea international pictogram language be much more precise

Call me a freak but, I've never had a problem assembling anything from Ikea - now, some of the homegrown knockoff stuff is a different animal....

Most of my Ikea purchases have been a simple build. But all it takes is that "one time" with the weird instructions and half a million pieces to cause fear in any potential Ikea purchase.
