Sad news, Charlie Chesterman has lost his long battle with colon cancer.

That's awful. I saw them play dozens of times. They were a tight band live. That's about the highest compliment I could give anyone.

I remember them from way back. I think I remember the name more than anything else but a couple of the songs seem familiar.

There's very little live footage of Scruffy the Cat on YT from back in their heyday, but there's a 15 song local cable performance from Charlie's earlier band The Law, from Des Moines. Bassist Mac Paul Stanfield went to Boston with Charlie.

 They were active while I was in Boston playing in Expose. I am sure I must have crossed paths with them at some point. To young. RIP Charlie
