That girl @ 2:21 gets me every time.........

That was the best 9 seconds of the whole day  :-*

I think I may have read somewhere that that was a Hungarian actress who became involved in some porn at some point.  Nevertheless, I'm not sure of that.  I read up on the background of that video once, but that was long ago and I don't know what the source was now.

Ouch! I'm not a Conan fan but at least he comes across as timidly hoping you'll think he's witty. Dennis Miller is not only wretchedly unfunny, he so full of himself that he can't wait to spew his "humor" on the audience.

always seems like the ole' pseudo intellectual intimidation factor.

A former wrestler and a former governor.  Plus, the host of a conspiracy theory show.  You just never know where you're going to see Jesse Ventura.  I even happened to stumble across a Zorro TV show in which he was in some kind of strange guest role.  On top of that, a former Navy Seal.

and actor too.   He was in one of my favorite "B"  list movies that stops  the remote whenever it comes across the screen.....  " The Running Man " also with another former governor

"Money for Nothing" always pisses me off.  That's my wife's attitude, and as Scott or Mark , or a lot of the other guys here who are weekend warriors can testify, working all week and then playing a couple of shows on the weekend is hard work.  For Cincyrockers, set up and sound check is at least 2.5 hours, the show is 4 hours, packing it all out again is at least 1 hour.

I do try to catch the sci fi B movies.  I've always liked them.

In case you haven't heard the story behind that, Mark Knopler got the idea from direct observation.  He was in a hardware store and one of the workers was saying those things about rock stars.  So, Mark asked someone for a pen and paper and began writing down the guy's idiotic comments for the song.  Some of those lines in the song are direct quotes.

Jesse exposed the emissions testing for the hack-hole it was and got rid it, and when the state over-taxed ( budget surplus) he refused to let them spend it on good jobs at good wages and gave it back to the taxpayers. Thin skinned but in light of what goes on in MN now, I'll take him over the Ritalin addict.

Leslie West has been an entertaining hoot for years!

....

I didn't mean to imply that he didn't accomplish anything. It was a relatively good time for the state. But the guy took political criticism personally and personal criticism politically. You would think that since he had already been mayor of a suburb and a public figure for years, he would have shrugged most of it off.

I love it, "How about Debbie Reynolds?"

That would be "The Money Pit" from 1986.

I know he reacted badly - weirdly - to politic critiqes, but that was who he was/is.  I think I would take his brand of odd ball over Dayton's brand of mentally disturbing any day.  Jesse on the radio was the wildest stuff I ever heard too.  God help anyone who disagreed with him.

His best line is in the wedding scene at the end: "Always a bridesmaid - never a bride."
