Here's one of the blueys for sale. Not sure if that's the original bridge.

Contrary to what James Bond says, a good Gibson should be stirred, not shaken.

That's the original bridge, it is the same as mine.

This thread prompted me to take mine to practice Monday and I don't think someone who loves his P bass would be happy with the DC. While the extra pickup gives it more versatility it also makes it more finicky. Monday I just couldn't get it to sound like I wanted. It was either too bassy, too blurry, too brittle or too quiet. The P bass on the other hand just sounds good.

Well, I'm such a person :) However, I do not even try to compare these basses (or compare DC with J-bass or with Ric or with  MM or something else). DC plays absolutely in its own league.

I thought it had the look of a Hipshot type A.
Here's a natty

It's the same ABM bridge. These are inferior to Hipshot IMHO (due to the reason described earlier in this thread).

Which is exactly why we all need a P bass,

and a Thunderbird,

and a DC,

and a Ric, etc.

I don't feel the need for a P bass. Every time I hear one I get the same feeling as, chicken for dinner again?

LMAO... ;D

My PC's got a "P" neck, sort of...

Got Jazz, will play... ;)

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Axl? Looks more like the late Ed Roman.
