I've used 2 Lollar pickups, and I swear by his work.  My fanfret has one of his Precision pickups, and it's a nice fat sound.

The other pickup from Jason Lollar was a custom one-off that he made for my old EB-1 RI project.  He backed off the impedence and turned out a wonderfully warm and mellow sound.
