I got the OK from Dave to post this here - A former co-worker of mine is trying to unload a 1976 Thunderbird for his deceased friend's widow. I actually had this bass in my possession for a couple of weeks about 6-7 years ago. It's unbroken and appears to be all original, including pots/wiring. Sounds like you would expect - a little mellower than a 60s or current bird. The natural finish looks great. There are extra strap button holes at the front, and maybe one at the rear. It's been a while since I saw it in person. Anyway, anyone interested, let me know and I'll hook you up with the "caretaker". Asking $2400. I'd grab it myself, but I don't have that kind of money sitting around (need to buy another SUV for gigging).

Never tried one with the stock (series) wiring, but mine (wired like a modern TB IV) sounds pretty damn good if I do say so.  It is still the bass that I gig most often, along with the 4001 or Triumph.

Nice price on this one (these days).

Yeah, I never thought much about natural birds, but when I got hold of this one, I fell in love. Has an old Korina Explorer vibe.
