My son got a chance to see Rival Sons open a show down in Atlanta and came back convinced that I'd love their stuff.
Hard to describe, but it's pretty straight up Blues Rock with an amazing groove.
They don't bury the bass, either - it's pretty prominent in the mix and really, really well done.

They have an album out - "Pressure & Time", here's a clip:

Enjoy....or not.

One of the best new bands as far as I'm concerned. A very cool mix between The Doors and Led Zeppelin. I saw them in Amsterdam last year and they did not disappoint me. They really delivered. Jay Buchanan is a charismatic singer with a great voice. And I really enjoyed the bass playing too.

The album prior to Pressure and Time features this beautiful song with excellent bass playing:

I've been digging these guys for a while. Bad Co. meets Zep. REALLY really good stuff, and refreshing to hear. Is it original? Not one bit. So what?  :P New disc coming soon!
