I'm looking for someone in the U.S. who makes custom PBass/Jazz bodies to order? I want some made to early '60s Fender spec but done in lightweight white korina, that I will supply from my stash. Also would prefer if the same place can also finish it in nitro. Don't need necks.

Can anyone recommend a good place that does this?

Some of the "custom" shops don't make their own bodies/necks. The bigger guys only want to use their own wood and many no longer offer white korina anyway. So.....any flexible, smaller builder anyone can recommend?

Have you tried Guitar Mill? They do custom work and I've seen quite a few good comments about them at the Tele forum (TDPRI).

The J body they offer is a '62, not sure about exactly which P other than that they say it's built to traditional specs. I have no idea if they would work with your wood, but since they advertise as a custom shop, it sure can't hurt to ask.

There are a few sellers on Ebay, but I don't know anything about them.

MJT Aged Guitar Finishes is in MO, and I recall another vendor in OH, but I can't find anything from them.

Thanks for the suggetions so far.

I know MJT can't do it....Matt had emailed me awhile back after I asked saying "we don't cut bodies."

He said to try USACG and thn to send it to him to do the finish :)
