In case anyone is interested, Jammit is an app for iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch (none of which I have) that allows you to isolate a bass track.

Another evil, money-grubbing effort of those control freak Mac types, EH???  They give you the app and charge for every music cut that you can manipulate.

Actually, that's pretty cool, but I have avoided iTunes and Apple apps with great success so far.  I and my Droid EVO shall have to soldier on un-augmented by iStuff.

I've seen that, and it's incredibly cool.

The only iThing that I own is my iMac, which is great. But I use an Android phone, which is also my only mobile music player. I'm pretty much with Pilgrim!

Well, I first got my first dumb phone about two years ago.  Some of us evolve more slowly...

my phone may get used 5 or 6 times a month. manly i keep it in case i break down somewhere in my truck. luckily that has not happened yet.

My phone is necessary for my job - and in fact it's a university phone.

It's also my calendar, list of contacts with addresses and phones, GPS, web browser, weather reference, business finder and many other things.

I went to smart phones about 4 years ago and they have really helped me both personally and in business.  The important thing is to control the tool, not let it control you.

I've never had an iPhone and am only 2 years into a smartphone; a Blackberry I got because a buddy of mine designs them. Until that I had an unstoppable Motorola Nextel I got for my job. Couldn't get any simpler than that one. And I still like it!
For computers, I've only personally owned Macs.

I broke down and got an android phone a year ago when I found I could get an unlimited call/data plan cheaper than I was shelling out for limited amounts of calls and text. It's also a voice activated GPS/navigation system, so I'm covered there as well. Still never had an iPod or pad though.

As a former Apple tech living in a house with a version of every bloody iThing on the planet I realised a week after I received my touch screen phone last year that for my needs dumb phones aint so dumb and guess what?  They're smaller to carry

Mine is an LG Rumor 2. It fits nicely in a pocket. Around here you see some people who always seem to be holding their bigger smart phones as if they don't know where to put it down. Maybe they're just afraid of missing something if they're not looking at it every waking minute.

OTOH I wouldn't mind having one, I just wouldn't use a lot of the features.
