Memorial Day weekend gig
« on: May 28, 2008, 04:23:24 AM »
We opened up summer by the lake at Nola's BBQ.  It was a WCMF (local classic rock station) event and a benifit for the Wilmont Cancer Ctr. We played outside from 6-10 Fri evening, talk about dream hours ! The stage and sound were top notch the crowd even better !  This was a paid gig but the bikers there put a pitcher on the stage and man did they fill it with $ we donated that to the cause.First we played a hour and a half tribute set to Zeppelin, It went over big time, then we did a classic rock set of Aerosmith, Alice, Bad Co. ,The Who etc and that went over even bigger.  LOTS of fun, in fact I can't remember a better time playing, the sun was shinning the wind was blowing and people were happy to be out and dancing their asses off.. I'm hopping some pics surface if they do I will post

Ah~ Sounds great!!!

Much more fun than breakin' your arm in 3 places like a friend's autistic kid did Memorial day. He cried "I want God!"
Must have been hurtin' real bad, poor guy.

My day wasn't great or bad...just ok. Glad yours was so great!

Very cool Scott!  We played for the Wilmot Cancer Center fund raiser yesterday at Pineapple Jacks.  A good cause for sure!
