I interviewed John Stirrat of Wilco today. More to follow, but some thingies:

- He's back to playing his Lakland Glaub with Darkstars.
- He had a new boutique tube amp
- I played both:)
- He's a great guy!
- I watched the soundcheck from the side of the stage
- And he recorded almost the whole new album with a Gibson LP Sig.

To summarise this all: Great day!!

Very cool. I do most of their flight cases. Are you talking about the Schroeder head? I've been to their practice spot a few times. Cool stuff EVERYWHERE!

Chris P.

Yep. Schroeder started building some guitar amps for Nels Cline and now they made a big tube amp for John which sounds and looks great!

Yeah, I was surrounded by some basses and a gazillion guitars. Dano's/Jerry Joneses, a lot of SGs, Teles, double necks, ... And I guess I was sitting on one of your cases:)

Barklessdog

where did you interview him at ?

In Chicago?

Chris P.

Nope, our magazine has no money at all, so just on an afternoon before a show in Holland. The two Dutch shows were the last one of this tour. I believe they're back here in March. I will visit them again!
