Not quite as fabeled as Kenny's Scotland, but I'm off for my beloved Washington Coast for a nice four day trip with my GF Alison, (no band ) we'll be visiting some very scenic and historic spots - I'll have some pics to share of course.
A highlight will be a moonlight hike under a full moon on top of Hurricane Ridge on Friday eve, through the band's many trips out here I've gotten to be friends with this Park Ranger.......

She's attended quite a few of our shows and the pic really does add about 10lbs to her, it's a bullet proof kevlar vest, I'll be keeping an eye out for the rambucious mountain goats that inhabit the park.

Meantime I'll leave you a gig shot from a recent show............. Really lovin' my Lull T-4 lately  ;D

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

I have been back for a couple days just really busy, anyway here's a few shots from the trip.

This is Kalaloch beach, about mid-point on Washington's weat coast.

A very large cedar tree nearby.......tho I think it's dead.

Ruby Beach, a bit further on north, and belive it or not.....this was the first time I'd ever walked barefooted in the Pacific Ocean, COLD! but refreshing as it was a rare warm sunny day.

This is Spruce Creek Trail - A railroad originally built 1917-18 on the west side of Lake Crescent to harvest Spruce trees for aircraft production, the Great War ended before it was finished tho it was used up into the 1930's as a logging line.

Lake Crescent is about 600feet deep with almost no nitrogen to support plant life, which means it's a uncommonly clear very blue.

Hurricane Ridge is part of Olympic National Park - The lodge is about a mile above sea level, up 17 miles of steep mountain grade ( the Subaru was huffing a little), we arrived just before sunset to take some pics and then gather with some 50 other folks for a moonlight hike up Hurricane Hill.

"In a Big Country"

the moon rising as we hiked.

And Pt. Angeles in the foreground, Victoria, British Columbia across the Strait of Juan de Fuca in the background. We had an Astronomer guide with us so as the evening grew darker he used a laser pointer to describe various stars and constellations, and we managed to see several meteors as part of the Perseid shower.

And at La Push ( yeah, the one from "Twilight")

And of course, the Subaru
