Very sad news & a great loss for the music world

Stjofön Big

Clarence Carter was One Cool Cat. Only heard him once, in -75, but him and Springsteen put on a great show, with much love and humour. He had a great tone, in the tradition of Johnny from The Hurricanes, and the tenor sax players in Little Richards band, like Earl Bostic on steroids. The originals in music are - in my mind - fewer, this day.
Today Gary Tallent is the only one left from the the original E Street Band, except for Springsteen.

Very Sad . I was just listening to him on a local radio station interview a month or so ago. Cool guy.

That is sad. I always regretted when he - along with the other E-Streetsters - was ousted by Springsteen and only started buying Springsteen CDs again when they reunited around 9/11.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

I will miss them...and I too only bought cd's that I perceived to be E Street Band cd's.

One of the truly fine sax players.  R.I.P.
