 Apples and OJ....The Tigercat was designed many years after the immortal Spitfire.
Although surely the 'cat would have given those yellow-nose 109s a run for their Reichmarks!

The TigerCat is also so cool from a front view. Its fuselage is so narrow. I really never heard of these plane before. Love the auto folding wings.

Years ago at Teterboro airport, one came through to refuel (going to an airshow IIRC). We all got a good look and on take off went around the patch and did a low pass before dissapearing. Sounded great too!!

 My favorite is Cook Cleland's race 57 F2G Super Corsair. After that the Seafurys are my second favorite.
