I agree: even if Mr Plant did not want to make it a permanent reunion the least he could do is one more tour then move on, I'd be curious to see how he would feel if he did not have his current gig. http://www.spinner.com/2011/01/28/alice-cooper-robert-plant-reform-led-zeppelin/?icid=maing%7Cmain5%7Cdl8%7Csec3_lnk2%7C39950

I read that earlier today and have to disagree. I have huge respect for Plant for NOT going out and trying to recreate the past. The guy is in his 60s. Why should he go and embarrass himself trying to re-create the awesome banshee wail of a man in his 20s? And for Alice to go "well I'm old too, and I go out there and say turn it up" is just BS. His style of singing requires nowhere near the effort that Plants old stuff does. I loved his 70s stuff, but I totally lost respect for Alice in the 80s. Zeppelin went out on a high note. Leave it at that. I'd hate to see them go down like the Who. (2nd swipe at them today. LOL!) Believe me, I LOVE Zep, and was very excited at the prospect of a tour. I know for a fact through my line of work that production companies were ready to go with it. But looking at it from his perspective, I can see it would have been foolish. On top of all that, his heart's just not in it. It would just be a cash grab that he clearly doesn't need.

I love Alice Cooper, circa 1972. But AFIK he hasn't played with Dennis, Glen, Neal and Michael since 1974. What Vince/Alice has been doing since 1974 would be like Robert Plant going on stage with a bunch of young studio players and calling it Led Zeppelin. Alice is full o' crap.

Plant will tour if John Bonham returns from the dead.

Not a Zep fan, but even if I were, who gives a sh!t what Alice Cooper thinks about Plant?

Look who's talking. Alice killed the Alice Cooper Band in drunken stupor and never resurrected it. Ever since then his album career has been one thing not: cohesive. He tried off the wall stuff like the underrated Dada and recorded two terribly ham-fisted albums with that Silvester Stallone-lookalike guitarist in the eighties, then flirtef with AOR (Poison) ... I like Alice, but he is a showman with a stage persona whereas Plant is a musician with artistic aspirations who has left his past behind.

For me, (and I love Alice Cooper) he ceased to be interesting after Muscle of Love and honestly I feel the apex of his career was Billion Dollar Babies - Glad I got to see him on that tour! Seattle FM radio killed any  (of the little) affection I could muster for Led Zep. That said I like Plant as a solo artist, mainly because he continues to try new things, he'll never do what he did (vocally) with LZ so why live in the past?
