Yep, you've found and Achiles heel... ;)

I would think it more important to preserve those we are on the verge of losing...

Mind you, some folks would just say, "Stuff them..."

Most recent believed extinctions include a type of dolphin believed to only exist in the Yellow River and a bat linked to Christmas Island... there is a bird that got down to a handful - literally five birds... the Black Robin... very similar in its habits to the European Robin...

Presently somewhere below 300 presently exist...

Here's a link to those already gone...

One of Roshina's favourite animals is the Malayan Tapir - there are more Giant Pandas than there are Malayan Tapirs - same colours and size, just not as photogenic to say the least - part of the Equine genus... the babies look kind of cute which is why she likes them so much... we've had first-hand experience with these beasties and have "adopted" one in the past...

There are days when I start to wonder how much better off this planet would be without us...

Staring at that event horizon is a dirty job, but someone has to do it; something's going to come back out of it one day...

Yes, I could see replenishing species that man has eradicated. The habitat has to be there for them though.

I remember talk of them bring back a Neanderthal man. I think Gieco was behind it.

IMHO, there is something very wrong with that zebra.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...
