They must still be together (in one form or another) because they played at a bike festival here earlier this year. The singer was on the radio and was pretty funny. Don't really remember much about them beyond the chain saw solo.

I can play the chainsaw solo on the weedeater fairly easily, but with a chainsaw you have to filp the choke for the low parts, not a safe manuever unless you have the chain removed (which Jackyl did. )

A friend of mine and myself were riding around talking about weird sounds to put in songs I turn on the radio and the Lumberjack song was on, it was the first we heard it. We started laughing at the prospect of using a chainsaw for an instrument to this moment I find it amusing  I have the cassette.

right after their first record came out mr. dupree ran through a local steak house with his chainsaw and  'damaged' some tables. i wonder how that stunt would have turned out today...

they would also pull a generator euipped flat bed truck into a crowded parkig lot and start playing until the cops shut them down.

there is no such thing as bad publicity . just spell our names right.
