It's funny - our daughters are 21 and 22 - we were sorting through some stuff in the basement and they said they rather like sorting through photo prints.  I think there's a different feel of permanence about them.

I prefer the depth, gloss and even aging of real photos too, but then I always liked vinyl too and now see myself clutching CDs in an mp3-viral world. Nothing is sacred anymore.

Someday we'll have memory chips surgically implanted with digital song files preloaded. Then you'll long for the good old days of mp3 players you could hold in your hand.

As I try to get my dog photography business off the ground, I'm trying to go into getting customer to get nice prints.  Everybody wants a CD, but they never ever really get anything printed even if they pay good money for the images on the disc.

And on a similar note, since we are kind of on this topic.........if anyone would like to visit my site:  http://www.alphadogstudio.ca   I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.

Some very nice shots over there (hate to tell you this but someone sneaked a horse onto your page - they were lieing when they said it was a "MegaDane"... ;D)

Can't offer any advice as I'd be happy with any of those shots - I used to do a lot of drawings of dogs for people - gave it up when the same "people" started to bring round photos of their friends dogs, with a "would you mind...?" - I just did it for people I knew - no inclination to take it further...

I really like those pics, arty, but not over the top. Dog portraits. Love the shot of the bulldog that heads your site.

Thanks Uwe.  That's the idea, images that dog lovers/owners that are arty enough and will want to have on a wall but will hopefully look great years down the road.

I'm tying to find a way to tastefully work a Blackbird into one :)

Almost certainly playing with food... not a cat person...

Sorry people (this may blow all my caring credibility status) but my most common coment about the feline species is that they are a "purfect size for loo seat covers..." :vader:

Love that green/black combo!

That guy has been tryng to sell that TBird for the last year or longer...but until now it was listed as a set with the matching Firebird. IMO I think it's worth more as the set and it would be a bad move for him to split them up.
