Does anyone know a source for Burns bass pickups?
Such as the ones used in the Bison bass.

I can only seem to find the guitar pickups (the brian may type tri-sonics). But no four pole piece pickups.

Not obviously on their site, but as they are currently being produced, an email directly too them is worth a shot...? (I'm guessing you've tried that...?)

Yeah I've sent them an email.

In the meanwhile I found another site:

http://www.adeson.co.uk/

And sent them an email too.
And got a reply from Ade himself within the hour!

"Normally we just modify the bass Tri-sonic pickups for customers - give them a longer magnet reach area, which is a common problem on these units, fitted with modern wider spaced bridges etc... The demand for actually selling them is very small, so - in the past we haven't really had enough orders to warrant selling them as "stand alone" units. I will however, be putting some bass covers through the system in the coming months as there seems to be a little more intrest generating through lately. I will try to get these up on the website in the coming months. We do, as I said fit our units with a much wider magnet spread capabilty - to boost the output of the outer strings - which was always a problem with the originals. We do normally always tend to keep a few used sets lying arround - in-case anybody gets stuck, but it will take a month or so before any of the new units get back from the platers etc........ Cheers."

In the meanwhile I have an answer from Burns too.
They have the Nu-Sonics pickups available. Those are the ones they use in the Bison reissue basses.

And they can have the Tri-Sonics made at request. But they're quite expensive...
