Mine look shiny from the side, but have that kind of "textured" look on top. I think it's just the angle that the photo is shot from that makes them seem shinier.

I saw this auction last week and thought they would never sell for that price but they actually sold. I was surprised and it gave me hope so I put mine up on Ebay with a Buy It Now price of $69.99 hoping they would sell since I had a lower price but no one is biting. Damn, I knew it was too good to be true. Ha.ha. And yes, I know that you can buy Artecs for super cheap but hey if someone else was willing to buy them for $75 I figured I would at least give it a shot. I think the picture is a big reason that they sold because from that angle they definitely look like smooth chrome. I have gotten a few questions about mine, asking if they were smooth chrome on top or if they had a texture on them. I do want to sell them though if anyone wants to make an offer for the pair but I can't imagine that anyone here needs them since they probably already have a pair.
