Wyman claimed in an interview that Vox took back most of the gear when the endorsements ended. Including his bass, which he claimed he never liked anyway.

Didn't Entwhistle endorse the gibson G-3.  Pretty sure that's what made me buy the leftover NOS one i got in the 80's.   I recently sold a vox sidewinder on feebay.  it was the 335 looking body with the "active" circuit and buit in g string tuning one.  pensil neck.  pretty much as thin as the framus I traded about 8 months ago for 82 LP special with fralin p 90's plus original p 100's.  Guiatr really screams... even as bad as i play the guitar...

Don't know about the G-3 but here's what JAE said about the RD in his book (next to a picture of the prototype)  "The result of a joint venture by Gibson and Roger Moog to produce the 'John Entwistle Bass'.  Unfortunately I didn't like it but it was released as the RD Artist Bass."

The day I bought my Italian Phantom IV our guitar player bought a Phantom VI with the tuner and repeater.  Didn't play it much but said a while back he wished he still had it.

My old guitar player had a Vox 12 string that he used for a few songs - sounded pretty nice.  Of course he played it through two AC30s!
