I thought that it was too much to post this at "guitars". For our open-minded prog lovers!

He taps at 1:50!!! Eddie van Halen is a thief!

Actually, I think that sounds pretty stellar overall, never knew they sounded that natural (and not cheesy). I've heard guitar synths from the eighties do a lot worse.

After that came the much improved guitorgan. I don't recall who made it, but it was more along the lines of a Gibson 335 and it actually sounded pretty good. Strange as hell, but sounded pretty good ;D

I would imagine that the guitorgan shown in that program would be worth a LOT of money today!

To get the organ play when strings were pressed to the frets, there must have been wiring under the fretboard connecting to both the frets and the internal elelectronics.

$600 to $800 would have bought a lot of stuff in that day.

I bought an instructional video by Leslie West, "Big Phat Ass Guitar" a while back. At one point, he was playing organ on a guitar, I believe it was a Casio. I went on a quest to find a guitar like that & ended up with a Roland GR-33. That setup has so many contols on it, it makes a Les Paul Triumph or an RD Artist look like a Pignose amp!
Vox was very inovative in the sixties. A bass player I new, had a prototype Vox bass with tons of switches & nobs. I wish now that I had paid more attention to what it was capable of.
