No, they wouldn't!  :mrgreen: There is nothing very rockish at all about those pups and their electronics, the RD Artist was conceived to sound Alembic'ish, not rockish. They accentuate sizzling highs and booming lows, but sound pretty plain in the midrange.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

Has anyone tried those pickups without the Moog-board, strictly passive?

Judging only by their DC resistance, they must sound weak and clear. But DC resistance doesn't say much about a pup's sound.

Passive for years... there is one in my now fretless Artist and one that has been stripped to go into Marks '76 TB cover in my T'bird... both in the bridge slot...

They "rock" well enough for my tastes...

The pup the seller shows has had the connector clipped off... both look pristine though...

I intend to post some music with these pups at some point... just not yet...
