I vote to spend the extra $$ and part out the body.  Very easy to do when it's not my money ;D

I guess that the outrageous prices are good news for me. I've got my original 1970 rosewood neck sitting in a closet and the replacement maple neck I put on, and am still using, is also a 70s neck. Mid or more likely late 70s. I really can't remember ???

Outrageous asking prices.
The guy who bought the same bass twice — first in 1977 and again in 2023

Outrageous asking prices.

Exactly, none of them seem to be selling. Even the new ones from Reliable Fender keep getting relisted over and over again.
Why did Salvador Dali cross the road?

Yeah, I know, but it's nice to hear even if it is BS ;)
