Looks professionally done. I don't think anyone's going to want to pay above new T-Bird price for it, though.

Very middy with a hard to tame trebley bite, just like an L2000 I'd imagine.

but L2000's aren't 'hog. or neck thru. that should make some difference.

for some reason I think that if he worked at the gibson factory he would come home with something cooler...

I had a custom '06 Hog bodied L2K with a maple neck, then I bought a '01 Natural Thunderbird with Ebony board. Needless to say, I sold the G&L this month.

Gibson just does it better and that includes the TB+ pickups, and I love MFDs.

'Hog was definitely an option at some point, even if it isn't now.  I owned a fretless hog L2K for a while.

Yep, available in early G&L L2KE's. Then every once and a while if you were lucky. I ordered mine through a dealer who had good connections with G&L. They won't build 'hog bodied basses if their mahogany stash is "too heavy" to them. I happened to get lucky in '06 and I think they made three or four in all.

I like that T-bird. Those pick ups look good and natural in it and it'll be very versatile with those two mini-switches. I guess they're for parallel, series and single coil?

But what about the neck? The black sunburst part looks very strange..
