i noticed those yesterday and was wondering if a guy could have some Charley Christian style bass pups wound on those things.
I can be true to you sweety until I find a nice medium scale with great breasts. ... CW

Hmmmm...  interesting.
But the most important parts of the "kit" are missing: the magnet and the wire. Especially the wire is of a rather unusual gauge.
Much thicker than your averidge pickup wire.

Up to this day I have never seen anyone who knows exactly what's inside those Lo-Z pickups. They're sealed in epoxy.
Jules spoke to Les Paul about these pickups but Les' memory was a bit foggy... He told me he was going to give it another try some other time. But that's not going to happen anymore ;)

I wonder if I can fit a Model G in there ? Mwahahahahahaha! Seriously I could use those covers for the Triumph body I have lying around, have SD stuff 'em with Thunderbird guts  :o

Its pretty much a matter of what will fit in them.

Still a nice price.

Wonder if his G-3 pups would fit under them?

They'd swim around in that huge casing.
You'd have to use a lot of wax to keep it in place
