A great return policy AND Kurt is great to work with.
$158 delivered in 3-5 days...not too shabby.  It'll be interesting to see what it's like.
I've never touched a 5 or a 6 before (although I've been real curious about the low B).
If I hate it, I'm sure someone will want it and like it.

I have a SX '75 J bass that just  kills! Super low action really nice build quality. Best playing "Fender" I own, unbelievable for the price.

Got it.  Ordered it Thursday AM and it arrived Sat AM. (std. shipping)
Pretty playable right out of the box - my son likes it a lot.
For me, it's a cheap foray into ERB, or a real cheap "get out of the house already" parting gift for my son.

Nice contour on the back - it's really comfortable

Nice looker... but the closest I get to ERB usually begins with H  ;)

Oh yeah, the kid's a keeper...he was standing over my shoulder when I typed that.

It's a 6-string Spector (or Warwank) without the $2k+ price tag. Is that neck-through or just cleverly hidden neck joint?

Here's an embarrassing answer: I'm not 100% sure. I'm pretty sure it's set-in, because I can see some difference in wood grain at the joint area. It is nicely tapered and disguised.  I'd love to put it in the hands of a bassist and get an honest review of it.
I just see shiny, pretty, etc. I will say this; The B string makes the window blinds rattle.

Set neck or neck thru, it's a bargain.

If anyone is interested to hear what the new SX 6'er sounds like live, my oldest son used it on stage last night.
My 13 year old (Nick) is on drums and his classmate friend plays some killer lead.
I give my little drummer a lot of credit, he broke his other crash cymbal during the previous song, and had to resort to a tiny splash for NIB...
I heard it break, and he didn't miss a beat.
