What a great clip!  Doug Wimbish is a good bassist as well, but he never fully took the place of Muzz in Living Colour.

I've always wondered what happened to Muzz.  A month ago one of my freinds sent me a link to this clip:  (LOUD VOLUME WARNING)

Apparently, Muzz was playing so much in his heyday that he was wearing grooves into his fingertips.  He switched to Rudy Sarzo style playing and has stayed that way ever since.

I sure wish he'd release something!!

Muzz worked for Michael Jackson briefly after leaving LC, then dropped off the face of the Earth. I heard he joined the New York Fire Department, but have no idea if that's true.

Looks like he's still playing: http://irtmag.blogspot.com/2009/01/medicine-stick.html -- the pic is old but the blog post is from this year.

I met Corey Glover about 12 years ago, and he mentioned then that Muzz was training to be a firefighter. I liked Muzz a lot on those first two records, but I think Wimbush just buries him in both his playing and his tone(s). I got the new live in Paris DVD for X-Mas. Those guys are just SICK players! It's almost like watching Rush or Crimson in a completely different style. I'm like cheering out loud at the TV!

My wife took me to see LC during their reunion tour a few years back...she also bought me a T-shirt and got the band's attention so I could ask for their John Hancocks on the shirt. Wimbish was by far the coolest of the four, but it was still great to meet the band considering I had been listening to them since '89 but never saw them until the reunion tour.

I agree, Living Color are one special band. Very credible. Should have done a lot better.
