I may have posted here about the combo amp I built a few years ago. For whatever reason, I decided to use silver tolex with black hardware. I also had this TL-606 cabinet sitting around with nasty old grey carpet on it and recently decided to do the same to it. Finished it off last weekend and I'm pretty happy with it! That's an 80s EVM15L in the 606 and a JBL K140 in the combo. Beautiful tone from both, but those EVs can take WAY  more punishment in the low end.

Nice look; classy but different.

Oh, I really like that.

I was considering buying a Roland Cube 100 bass amp with a 15" back in the 1980s, as an upgrade from my first amp (also a Roland, but a cube 60 with a 12"). That 100 had a great punchy sound in the store, but for some reason I decided against it and I kinda regret never having one.  Anyway I mention that because that's maybe the only other silver tolex amp I've seen? It looked great, much better than the boring black they replaced it with:

Basses: Gibson lpb-1, Gibson dc jr tribute, Greco thunderbird, Danelectro dc, Ibanez blazer.  Amps: genz benz shuttle 6.0, EA CXL110, EA CXL112, Spark 40.  Guitars: Danelectro 59XT, rebuilt cheap LP copy

Never seen those Cubes. Nice looking little amp. I was kind of going for the Marshall silver jubilee look, though theirs is a little more grey. What mine DOES match, and I hadn't even realized when I built the combo, is my vintage reissue Rickenbacker cases. (the G-B head is gone)

I bet that rig sounds as good as it looks. I got by for a long time with a single EVM 15L in a badly-made cabinet I built. Those speakers really kick. It's been a while since I've played through a classic 2x15 rig, always a good experience.

Hadn't seen those Marshalls, cool - but hey if we're talking about non-black Marshall cabs, I'll take a purple one please :)

Yes, purple is killer! These guys have a variety of different colors and patters - https://www.amplifiedparts.com/

I love a good 2x15 too. I have a '71 Ampeg BT-140 cab with JBL D140s.
