A special night for me
« on: November 11, 2008, 05:06:26 PM »
I live in a little town in the hills about 45kms east of Adelaide in South Australia and over the years I must have played nearly every pub and venue in Sth Aust. But I have never played in my own town.
This Saturday night is the big night. Darren at the Millers Arms pub has put up the cash and me and the Crocs will be there in spades.

Seems strange to be getting excited about playing a gig again after all these years. Normally its just, rock up, setup, play (being careful not to drink too much), pull down, Drive usually at least an hour home at 3am.

Gonna be great to be able to let my hair down and have a few while playing in front of a lot of my mates :)

Cheers guys   :)  my problem is that at shows I am usually too relaxed Dave. This kinda makes it cool because there will be a whole lot of close friends there that either rarely, or have never seen me play.

Playing close to home is a lot of fun!  We seldom are more than 20 minutes away when we play out and it's always a good time with friends in the crowd.  Have a great time!

Good luck with the show, its always fun to play for people you know.
Like you tho, we have to leave Seattle to actually make money and have some notoriety, strange how that works.
We're off to the wilds of the Olympic Peninsula this weekend, for 2, 3 hour shows.
