I don't know if it's allowed in this part of the forum, so feel free to move it to somewhere else.

From 18 mins on the bass player of Duane 'son of' Betts' band tells he has almost all classic Gibson models and how he uses Gibson necks and parts on his two own builds you see in the vid.

I kinda like it, except for the cut off headstock.

That just looked wrong... I'm going to guess it's a case thing... :o

I kinda liked it: It is no longer a Gibson, let's cut that name off.
The shape of the Grabber headstock lends itself for this. As there is quite a bit of surplus beyond the machine heads.

I'd have just spent a wee bit of time radiusing the corners... it just rattles my OCDisms... even when I modified the RD's profiles, everything was smoothed out and blended... it even rattled me when I got my SG (40 years back now) and the neck heel had to be chamfered down so it fitted the palm of my hand...

You are right in that way, Basvarken, but I still don't like the looks.

Reminds me a little bit of the headstock on that Paddle bass by Arnoud Faber.

Arnoud didn't know it when he made this bass, but it does look a bit like the 20/20 doesn't it?
