That's a good performance. Very lively and groovy. I've seen the Don Airey band a few times, they generally perform with Carl Sentance as their singer whose day job is with Nazareth. They do anything Don Airey has played on which is  a lot given how he has been the to-go-to-keyboarder for heavy metal and hard rock sessions in the last decades ... Rainbow, DP, Whitesnake, Gary Moore, MSG, Colosseum II, his own stuff from the solo albums ...

What I noticed about these recordings is that Gillan is much more at ease with all the backing vocals and sings better and more relaxed. Now backing vocalists (or any kind of backing vocals at all - the Coverdale/Hughes tandem of Mk III & IV was an exception to the rule) have generally been anathema to DP, but I really believe he should consider them for further DP tours. He is no longer the silver-throated Child in Time screamer, but an elder statesman in rock, yet if he doesn't push his voice too hard he can still sing a story.
We've taken too much for granted ... and all the time it had grown ...
From techno seeds we first planted ... evolved a mind of its own ...

I enjoyed the entire video. Ian Gillan can still deliver at age 74(!) without making a fool of himself like David Coverdale, or squeal like a pig like Glenn Hughes tends to do all the time.
The seemingly effortlessness and the joy makes it very pleasant to watch and listen to.
The band is excellent too. All great musicians.

That's a great point. And he does still have that magical tone when he opens his mouth. I've been thinking of adding a female backing vocalist to my band...
